five times danny's english class learned that he was phantom (and one time he had to reveal it)

1- wes weston

wes has always been observant and after ghosts appeared out of nowhere he became obsessed with them. he always has been someone who loved the supernatural things and seeing actual ghosts? it only boost his hyperfixation on the supernatural.

when ghost boy appeared he was happy like everyone else but somehow ghost boy felt familiar. but it cant be right? i mean how can he 'know' a ghost hes never seen before? but he couldnt get over that feeling so he observed the ghost more attentively than any of the ghosts.

all he learned about ghost boy was aligning with one of his classmate but that cant be. danny was a human. he was pretty sure of that, he remembered when he helped the health teacher about the pulses he was sure danny had a pulse even a pretty healthy one.

all his mind was telling him he couldnt say ghost boy was danny without any evidence. he had two theories both without evidence (for now) and it was that danny died and his ghost was haunting his corpse or secondly someone could be a human and a ghost at the same time. his gut was telling he was in the right path to discover the truth. so he started to pay close attention to the fenton boy. he noticed danny always disappeared when there was a ghost attack. suspicious. then he realized ghost boy also was acting with that manson girl and the foley boy. ghost boy and danny were NEVER in the same room. and lastly when ghost revealed his name was danny phantom wes felt like he was losing his mind. he was right about fenton. but how?

one day on a break time he made sure he bumped into fenton 'accidentally' hoping he could somehow check his pulse. and he did (even though he did seem like a creep as he stood there looking at him in the eye directly while holding his wrist). danny had a pulse but it was much slower than average and somehow his skin was cold. wes realized he also looked so much paler than before.

he was right. danny was human at the beginning of the year but now he wasnt so sure.

his skin was cold and pale and his pulse was slower. that didnt seem normal to wes. so he continued with his second theory. someone could be both a human and a ghost at the same time like half ghost half human or something. he didnt know how to prove this. so he did what he thought was the best option.

the next time there was a ghost attack he tried to find fenton before phantom appeared but he failed as the boy was already out of the class even before the ghost attack happened. and it happened again.

wes decided just one lesson (turned into the whole day) to watch fenton rather than listening to what the teacher was saying. then he saw it. some kind of visible breath like you breath in the cold weather. then fenton excused himself to the bathroom and another ghost attack happened.

he got him now.

next time right after fenton excused himself to the bathroom wes also excused himself. he was right there. some glowing rings appeared around the black haired boy and he turned into the beloved cryptid of amity park.

wes was right he was half ghost half human.

after getting his confirmation wes was satisfied but now he was confused more than ever. everyone loved phantom but fenton here was getting bullied everyday by the same person who basically worshipped phantom. would it be easier for him if everybody knew who he was? i mean sure he had ghost hunters for parents but wes was sure fentons wouldnt hurt their own kid even if that kid was a ghost.

so wes made it his mission to help him come out easily. but when he approached the trio (he was 100% sure both manson and foley knew the truth so no harm done) they acted like wes was crazy.

"really wes? me? and phantom?" danny laughed at wes. it annoyed wes.

"i know the truth fenton. but i dont understand why youre not telling anyone. everyone loves phantom." wes said trying to ignoring the gaslighting.

"if i was phantom which i am not, i would have my own reason not to tell." danny tried to reason with wes with a slight annoyance in his voice.

"anyway theres no point in talking about this seeing phantom is a ghost and danny is a human." sam tried to shut down the conversation.

"no hes both. i saw him transform." as soon as wes told them he saw the trio's eyes widened. tucker was the one who broke the silence.

"saw him transform? like some kind of magical girl? cmon wes at least be more realistic." he tried to play it off sam joined him but danny still looked petrified.

"are you sure youre not watching too much anime or something?" sam and tucker laughed it off.

wes felt the rage in his veins. he was right and they knew it. so he was going to proved it. to everyone that danny was in fact phantom and to danny that everything would be easier for him if people knew.

wes started to gather evidence. he would talk about it to his friends but no one ever heard him out. it made him even more furious. he started to lose friends but he didnt care. he was going to prove them all.

he only stopped trying to expose phantom after seeing GIW trying to kill a normal kid because they thought he was phantom without any conformation or any hesitation. wes didnt realize how dangerous it could be for danny until then.

he felt bad. so now he decided to help him somehow. people thought he was crazy right? then he was gonna convince people who could hurt fenton he was wrong by acting even crazier. was it gonna cost him all his years of high school? probably but if people heard him out before he couldve got the boy killed and he couldnt just stop because if he stopped abruptly it would be more suspicious and frankly he didnt want to risk it.

idk i dont think we give hickey enough credit for jumping on the bomb that was about to be the whole manson / irving conflict to de-escalate it.

like manson had just shoved (?) irving (MAJOR no-no, since irving outranks him. also you cant hit your coworkers)and irving was threatening to lock manson in a room alone in the dark with dead men over an unspecified amt of time, because manson expressed being afraid (dangerous to admit!!).

obvs irving is projecting his own anger at himself onto manson here, but it’s especially not ok to do that to manson of all people, who reads to me as someone who’s mildly intellectually disabled. you dont do that to your coworker, or your subordinate, and you certainly dont do that to someone who may not be capable of defending themselves in the same way you can attack them/defend yourself. it’s a complete abuse of power, and it’s fucking sick. irving i dont care if you hate yourself and youre stressed!!! dont be a dick!!!!

like yeah, it’s to hickey’s benefit to reassure manson (hes already read crozier’s little note, and i think hickey’s probably disturbed by francis’ previous plans to leave, shaken that francis believes they need rescue, plus being flogged is not reassuring about crozier’s mental state or sense of control over the crew, and while i dont think hickey is really consciously planning mutiny yet, it’s definitely something his subconscious is chewing on) but there’s definitely a sense of hickey saying, ‘oh fuck this shit i am stepping up and interfering with this’. which is something he’s demonstrated before, and was flogged for it. like, christ. give the man some credit for calming manson down, and giving him actual tools (lantern, safety in distance, ‘guarding’ the others) to cope with his fear.

also. sidenote. it’s been made very clear earlier that hickey is not supposed to be carrying heavy things. goodsir says this. hickey flinches when he sets that toolbox down. and then he goes and volunteers himself to help hold a dead body so that manson wouldnt be punished for being afraid. you know how much pain that probably caused him????? like literal, physical pain??? christ

Honestly they might not CRASH crash the economy but I honestly think they could do some serious damage. At the very least if Amity is going to start essentially printing USD with these cards to get infrastructure and the like set up the inflation within the town is going to go crazy and they might just need a new currency. I think it's also determined by how LARGE you consider Amity to be. As I've always seen it described as a small town I've always envisioned it to have a population of around 10,000 people. AS IT TURNS OUT the wiki describes it as 'Amity Park is depicted as a moderately large urban city, reminiscent of Chicago, San Francisco, and/or Philadelphia' WHICH IS WAY LARGER THAN I IMAGINED. I don't know SHIT about American cities or their layouts apart from the fact that Everything Is Squares and also apparently the junctions are death(? Apparently America doesn't have roundabouts??? Bro??? I don't know if that was a Simpsons gag but I think about it maybe half as often as I use roundabouts), BUT the point is that google says those cities are somewhere around 800,000 to 2.6 million.

Honestly I think those are weird numbers because those are enough of a range to not be at all considered the same size imo but we'll take Philadelphia as our base bc that's the one in the middle at 1.5 million. In "Amity Park's" population statistics (X) if you take everyone from 20-44 (we're pretending people under 20 can't get one bc apparently 13 year olds can get them with special permissions and that fills me with a special kind of anguish to have learned) but if you take everyone from 20-44 that population totals something like 613,028.

We'll give an error margin of 10% to account for people who are auto disqualified for whatever reason and between that error margin and the people I'm ignoring I think it's realistic to assume you could get 551,726 people credit cards. Unlimited ones? maybe not. But look me in the eyes and tell me if Sam Manson was told 'We can fix the public infrastructure that's damaging the environment and cause serious damage to predatory lending companies' She would not use her families wealth to be backing people as some kind of collateral/co-signer to get OBSCENLEY high credit cards SO FAST. That's to say nothing of if Tucker and the Other Nerds decide it's actually completely fine for them to hack into these companies and auto approve all these credit cards. CONSERVATIVELY if they racked up $500,000 USD on each card, the amount of money spent by Amity would end up being $275,863,000,000 or $275.8 BILLION Now the GDP of the USA is $25.44 Trillion, which looks like $25,440,000,000,000 so it's not a LOT in the grand scheme of things but it is just over 1%, I'm not going to pretend I know what that does economically to the entire USA but consider that Beer sales in the USA accounted for $106 billion in 2022, and that amity would potentially be generating nearly three times that. (X) I have just gone on a fucking TANGENT about the economy in this silly fun times thread of ours so I apologise I will try and sum up very quickly why I think they could spend so much so quickly. Philadelphia has a total of 37 hospitals. They built a new one sometime around 2021 to the tune of $1.6 billion (X) If Amity built a new hospital for liminality care and a few new ones Just Because They Realised They Can, say they build ten new hospitals, which is a VERY LARGE amount of new hospitals to build on workforce Alone, but they probably have tireless ghost workers who are probably obsessed with construction and regular living workers who want to be paid in the times before everyone had acclimated to the ghosts properly. Hello again , about roy manson im not really fond of him but i don't hate him either . ( spoilers alert !!!! )

So about his character, he is a playboy just like shizuka but more gentleman like always toying mc wich honestly piss me off because on the first chapter he sleep with her without telling her that he was engaged even if it was arranged. Made mc feel dirty and feel bad for his fiancé cuz she stole her man. I cant even count the amount of time he toying mc even when she say no he continue. Yet at the same time i cant hate him cuz his childhood was pretty emotional and like rei he wanted to die and mc basically save him . What her mother done to him hurt him , lead him with trust issue and cannot believe with love anymore so he never take his relationship seriously to protect himself not only in love but with his family his brother alan he was fond of him but due to the fact that his parents treated them differently ( alan was punished for something roy wil not be punished for ) they dynamic became sour each years and mc help with that. I see him manipulative like rei, like make you feel special to get what he want from you and never say thing honestly that cause a lot of drama between him and mc and make they relationship superficial.

Anyways sorry if my text is a bit long but i find these character really intersting ( they are all bad and good at the same time ) and i can relate to a fews trait they have sooo .
